My Adventure

My Adventure

Oh my goodness, I have crossed the border. I’ve just come through customs and border control from Canada into the United States, and I’m off on this big adventure. I’m on my way to Las Vegas, and you know, is there happiness here? Or is there worry, and fear, and concern? Well, stay tuned, and I’ll tell you all about it.

So, I’m off to a big adventure. There’s a business interest of mine that takes me into the United States, and um, I’m gonna stay there for a while. It’s a lousy time to be traveling given COVID, and I’m coming from Canada, where, particularly British Columbia, Canada, where COVID was pretty under control. And going to Nevada, where things are a lot more tenuous. And so, there is, of course, worry and fear, and that’s part of this journey. And yet, I’m excited. I’m thrilled just to get through the border because I’ve had some trouble in the past with different visas I’ve used to do work in the United States, and now here I am. I’ve got basically carte blanche rights to work and be in the United States for two years. I’m gonna go live in the desert, and it’s purely an adventure.

An adventure with all kinds of misgivings, and anxiety, and things that make me really question whether this is the right call or not. But the call’s been made, and so I’m embracing change. And I wonder if there are situations in all of our lives like that from time to time, where the die is cast. We’re headed towards whatever destiny awaits us, and yet we can fill our minds with worry and concern, and take the joy out of the adventure that is life. And so, if any of that resonates with you, I hope you take that message away this week. Give me a thumbs up and well wishes, because I got a big drive ahead of me.
